About 10 mins ago my son asked if he could have something out of his Easter basket. Yes, believe if or not, there's still some candy in there. The operative word being "some".
He asked, in particular, if he could have some of the 'lil malt-ball eggs that his Uncle G gave to him.
"Uh, yah, sure", I said, with what I'm sure was an audible "gulp".
Need I say more?
His first words when I gave him his basket?
"Heeeeey! Who ate all my eggs?"
(I didn't eat "all" of them)
I came clean. Kind of.
I told him I had a "few" and he said it was okay. What a sweetheart! Such a sharing young lad and I told him so.
Little does he know that Mommy was downing fistfuls of those 'lil devils late one night.
Kind of like this, but with Easter eggs...
What my son doesn't know, doesn't hurt him.
They're not good for his teeth anyways.
He might be happy to hear that I felt sick afterwards and the scale is reflecting my gluttonous ways.
I'm not telling him though.

Good confession!! I ate a ton of my kids' Easter candy too. So glad it's outta the house now! :)
It's taking all my strength not to keep at it, but I've got a wedding to buy a dress for soon. :)
Hahaha, naughty Mommy!!
Hee hee...I can't argue with that. I scarffed down his jelly beans.
hahaha....I forgot to never take candy from a baby...but since he's 5...
Oh, don't get me started on jelly beans...especially jelly bellies...my fists aren't big enough!
You're so funny Darling... I would have never told! lol xoxo
This is precisely why I didn't buy Easter baskets 2 years in a row. Lol
This is precisely why I haven't bought a basket 2 years in a row! And oh my I can't be around anything cadbury lol
Haha...yeah, a perfect roll model for honesty, that's me...and eating in moderation! LOL!
Okay, I totally ate my kid's chocolate. I'm just glad he forgot about it....
Those malt ball eggs are impossible to resist...which is why I never buy them. Once I start, I cannot stop.
I know!! I did the same thing last year. When will I learn?
Hahaha! That's awesome! Mine seem to never forget!
I totally helped myself to my kids' Easter candy too. On the sly, of course. When I asked them to share it with me they only handed me the bad stuff.
Funny how they do that...well, not THAT funny...especially when you need a chocolate fix!
I don't know what happened to me over the past two weeks while I had vertigo and was on some major meds but I think I ate an entire candy store while I was on bedrest. I woke up surrounded by lots of wrappers and none of my clothes fit. Ugh! Next year, the Easter Bunny is bringing carrot and celery sticks!! ;-) Missed you while I was offline!
Glad to have you back! Hope you're feeling better!
