Each and every morning
At 8 o'clock precise
I tell the kiddies "George is on"
It is my only vice
They watch him oh so quietly
I take the time to think
Of all the things I have to do
And grab myself a drink
George, he makes them laugh and smile
So innocent and funny
He always starts our day off right
On rainy days or sunny
So thanks to George I tend to have
Some minutes to myself
Before the wants and needs of others
Put my own upon a shelf
